Hello, I’m Maria

Welcome! I’m a Los Angeles-based tarot artist. My oeuvre includes readings, writings, classes, and rituals that have impacted thousands of people since 2017.

I’m not a healer—I psychically help people find ways and resources to heal themselves.

Much of my work orbits everyday magic and holographic thinking in the contexts of social justice, erotic sensuality, and liberation.

Sparked by a Kundalini awakening after a near-death experience, my business and practice are inspired by voids, whale songs, Southern ritual, the moon, movement, radical liberation movements, personal experience, plant wisdom, infinite interconnectedness, and clouds.

I’m boldly Black and wildly intent on living on purpose.

Empathy means knowing that if we desire to be seen, we also have the responsibility of bearing witness.

In late 2025, I’ll share a fuller list of my work and appearances. For now, catch up on some reading. Perhaps from my antiracism tarot workbook Tarot for the Hard Work? You can also find my essays in other illuminating books, such as my essays in the A Confluences of Witches (Casey Zabala) and Tarot In Other Words (Cassandra Snow) anthologies, as well as my forewords in 78 Acts of Liberation (Lane Smith) and The Modern Fortune Teller's Field Guide (Tom Benjamin).
